For the fourth consecutive year men and women from the Presbytery will help in the reconstuction of homes destroyed by earthquake. We link up with Gateway Medical Alliance to do this work. The news homes, which are "earthquake proof", are simple 10mx5m flat-roofed constructions, plastered inside and out. A septic tank is dug. So the skills required are mainly bricklaying, plastering and some joinery. There is also a need for those willing to labour. Volunteers can go for one, two or three weeks.
